My grandfather was one of the wrestling Coaches for a Junior Wrestling program in California and began coaching me when I was 5 years old. I competed in Junior Wrestling throughout my youth and placed in the majority of tournaments I competed in. I was on the varsity wrestling team for the entire four years I competed. I placed 5th in the New Mexico state tournament as a Junior. I placed 3rd in the New Mexico state tournament, beating the previous 2x NM state champion and finished the year with a record of 35-4. As an adult, I utilized my wrestling skills in MMA career. As an amateur, I had 10 fights with an 8-2 record. As a professional, I had 10 professional fights with a 7-2-1 record. During my time MMA training, I earned my No-Gi brown belt under the Machado Lineage.
I began coaching wrestling at the gym I was training MMA at. I coached children and adults on how to implement wrestling for Jiu Jitsu and MMA. I started coaching junior wrestling 5 years ago when my son Zaiden became of age. During that time I was a part of the coaching staff who won the team state championship and was runner-up twice. I have coached multiple state champion and placing wrestlers, including my two sons, Zaiden and Phoenix.
