Boxing Classes
in Bellevue, WA
Clean fundamentals. Sharp footwork. Honest conditioning. Boxing taught the way it's supposed to be — built on the basics, applied under pressure.
The Sweet Science
Boxing is one of the most refined combat sports in existence. Two weapons — coordinated through footwork, head movement, timing, and defense. The simplicity is deceiving. The depth takes years to develop.
At Warrior Strength, our Boxing program is built on fundamentals first. Stance, footwork, guard, jab, cross, hook, uppercut — taught correctly, drilled consistently, and applied under structured pressure. Every class reinforces the foundation before adding complexity.
Our Head Boxing Coach, Kru Louie Betancourt, brings a disciplined, detail-driven approach to every session — emphasizing footwork, defensive awareness, ring IQ, and the technical precision that separates trained fighters from everyone else.
If you're in Bellevue or commuting from Redmond, Kirkland, or Issaquah and looking for a serious boxing program — not fitness classes with boxing movements, but actual technical boxing instruction — this is what we offer.
Fundamentals First. Always.
Footwork & Movement
Before you throw combinations, you learn to move. Footwork is the foundation of everything — angles, distance, pivots, and weight transfer. You don't become a boxer without footwork.
Technical Striking
Jab, cross, hook, uppercut — each taught with mechanical precision. Power comes from proper mechanics, not muscle. We build the technique before we build the volume.
Defensive Awareness
Head movement, slipping, parrying, and footwork-based evasion. Defense is not an afterthought in this program — it is developed alongside every offensive drill.
Pad Work & Bag Rounds
Pad work develops timing, combination flow, and reactive striking. Bag rounds build conditioning and reinforce mechanics under fatigue. Both are integral to every class.
Beginner Progression
New students start with orthodox fundamentals and build systematically. There is no expectation to be proficient immediately — progression is structured and measurable.
Conditioning Through Training
The conditioning you develop in boxing training is specific and functional. Footwork, output under fatigue, and recovery time improve through consistent practice — not separate cardio sessions.
Who Trains Here
Beginners
No prior experience needed. The program starts with orthodox mechanics — stance, weight distribution, guard — and builds from there. Everyone starts at the same place.
Cross-Trainers
Muay Thai and MMA athletes who want to sharpen their hands will find the boxing curriculum a direct and productive supplement to their existing training. Better hands make better fighters.
Fitness-Focused Students
Boxing conditioning is earned through real training. The footwork, pad rounds, bag work, and partner drills develop cardiovascular capacity, coordination, and athleticism that carries over to everything.
